Day 3 of 21 Days of Pinterest Projects- Ocean Sensory Bin

Today we took a sensory bin to a whole new level! Rather than playing with typical jello that stays mostly in a set form, we used jello to create an ocean and beach area for our toddler. Using blue jello and crushed cheerios, we were able to create a sensory experience for our toddler to scoop, mix, and squish. We even added some ocean and beach accessories to give it some extra flair! This ocean sensory bin was fun and easy to make. You can make one of your own by following the steps below.

I did this in a metal tossable bin from the Dollar Store for easy clean-up.  Make Jello, toss in plastic sea creatures, and set overnight.

Crush Cheerios in a plastic bag or it was extra quick in the food processor.

Add accessories for fun beach play.  I chose whatever I could find in my son’s playroom!
